Color is a powerful non-verbal communicator. In a heartbeat, people are attracted or repelled. Each artist has a specific color signature. The wavelengths, hues, values, clarity, and resonance of yours are specific to you.
Each artist’s gift is distinctly purposed for their own audience.
Dorothy Fagan’s gift came out of darkness. After an attack in her studio, she lost her ability to paint. Gone were the abstract pastel paintings that won her recognition at The Pastel Society of America, Pastel Society of Canada, the oil paintings that hung in New York's National Art Club, the American Artists Professional League, Salmagundi Club, and all the others. Finding her way back from dark muddy colors and dissonance, she discovered the purpose of her artistry. Her story of traveling to France on an artist's residency, Discovering Joy’s Garden, tells how she did it.
THE PAINTING LESSON Virtual Studio is designed to replicate the artist's residency experience. Weekly articles and discussions engage your creativity, colors, and clarity.
